What research do we do to develop our pads for India
Using the concept of Hifu Kagaku, the idea was to take care of maximum pain-points and bring a product that could solve 90% issues. And 80% women’s first two issues were – Leakage and Comfort.
So, our research team, spoke to the 2000 volunteers and found the following –
Women in India use sanitary pads for 4 to 8 hours per pad. Globally most users would change between 4 to 6 hours. We had to design for more flow intake.
Working women prefer thin napkins, while homemakers don’t have any issues with thickness. So, we had to design a thin one.
Wings though marketed highly only add to discomfort during the day.
We first tested our existing design for how much amount of liquid our pads could absorb. We put in enough SAP unless they could sustain for 8 hours in a Large one and 12 hours in the Extra Large one. We pressed the liquid laden pads to simulate body weight and found no leakages. These pads were then distributed to volunteers for actual trials.
The Hada Secrets Japan umō Sanitary Napkins boast of the Sumitomo Seika company’s Super-Absorbent polymer core. It is feather-light and yet highly absorbent, preventing spills and discomfort from wetness. Out of the 2000 volunteers who tried the product, not even one complained of any leakages during the 6 months period.
The ability of Sumitomo Seika SAP to convert liquid into gel after absorbing it ensures your thighs and the vaginal area remains dry even during a heavy flow. Unlike any other sanitary napkin available in the Indian market, this technology gives a significant edge to our pads. Hence, the promise of a safe and comfortable period is fulfilled only after it meets all the product specifications required by a licensed global product.
Try our umō products, you will surely like them.
